Role Overview

Daily, you are directly responsible for the leadership and development of your team in alignment without corporate Purpose while fulfilling the company Mission and maintaining a culture of Unity, Excellence, Growth and Generosity. You are expected to intentionally model and promote spiritual, personal, and professional growth and cultivate an environment where those happen. As always, you understand and agree that Betenbough Homes is a rapidly growing and changing organization, therefore the precise nature of the work you do may be adjusted from time to time.

Core Functions

  • Manage and direct the starts workflow to promote efficiency in the field.
  • Work with our municipalities and team members to ensure permits are received on time.
  • Work with Architecture Design Manager and Purchasing Systems Manager to ensure permit packets and drawings are accurate.
  • Foster and promote open communication among Permitting team and other teams.
  • Improve processes in all areas of the team and drive initiatives for positive change.
  • Develop growth plans and performance reviews for direct reports.
  • “Walk alongside” direct reports daily to ensure quality of work.
  • Hold direct reports accountable to Betenbough and Permitting team standards.
  • Provide training and support for direct reports.
  • Develop relationships and build trust with direct reports.
  • Grow your team by modeling, equipping, developing, empowering, and measuring progress in each team member.
  • Intentionally look for ways to personally, and professionally grow. Always be a student of the business.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Office environment.
  • Vision for near, mid-range and far as well as hearing for low, medium and high pitch.
  • Requires physical ability for standing, sitting, crouching, kneeling, frequent walking, reaching above head and below waist.
  • Must have a current and valid driver’s license and must be able to be insured by company fleet insurance.
  • Ability to lift 5-20 pounds.

Hours and Schedule

  • Average 40 hours per week (8am-5pm, M-F).
  • Minimal travel required for company events and inter-region collaboration.
